square-ish design, although it is slightly more rounded than the Edge 20 and
Edge 20 Pro.
This phone boasts stylish color options and a back that
attractively reflects light. The camera module is a standout design feature,
with its edgy lines giving it a modern and subtle appearance. However, the
cameras protrude enough to cause the phone to wobble on a flat surface, which
may be a source of annoyance for some users.
The back of the phone showcases the Motorola logo in a
contrasting color and the logo is highly reflective, adding to the phone's
visual appeal. The back has a matte finish, but it may not provide the best
grip. It is recommended to use a protective case.
The Moto G200 features metal sides that are slightly curved,
providing a comfortable grip for this large phone. The fingerprint scanner,
located on the right side and integrated into the power button, is highly
responsive
The Moto G200 features a punch-hole camera on the front, and
the bezels around the display are relatively thin. In terms of appearance, it
is similar to many other Motorola phones.
The Moto G200 may not appeal to all users, as it has a
single bottom-firing speaker, which is less than some phones in its price range
that offers stereo speakers.
The speaker has decent mids and lows, but highs are muffled.
Additionally, the phone is quite large and tall, weighing 202g. While not as

good maximum and minimum brightness and colors that look pleasing.

blacks and greater saturation offered by AMOLED displays.
The display is easily readable in bright sunlight, but the
glass that covers it can be quite reflective, making it harder to see in
certain lighting conditions.
The resolution of the display is satisfactory but not
outstanding. Due to its large size, it is not the sharpest panel, and pixels
can be seen when viewed close up. However, the FHD+ resolution is appropriate
for the Moto G200's price point.
The display's 144Hz refresh rate provides an exceptional
gaming experience, making the user interface appear smooth and responsive.

& Storage of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The Moto G200's performance is its standout feature, it is
equipped with a Snapdragon 888+ processor, one of the best in the market, which
offers flagship-level performance and can handle any task with ease. At this
price point, there are very few phones that offer this processor, making it the
strongest selling point of the Moto G200 5G.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of
storage, however, it doesn't have a microSD card slot. The RAM is sufficient
for multitasking, and the software feels well-optimized.
The phone doesn't heat up easily, which is great for heavy
gamers. Additionally, the Moto G200 supports 5G, specifically sub-6GHz, and I
have had no issues with reception, internet speeds, or call quality. You can

Software & Features of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The Moto G200 comes pre-installed with Android 11 and has a
clean user interface with only a few Motorola-specific features added. An
update to Android 12 is expected. There were no software-related issues
encountered during my review of the device.
The Moto G200 is equipped with Motorola's Ready For software
platform, which allows the phone to function as a computer when connected to an
external display such as a TV or monitor. The phone's display can be used as a
trackpad and keyboard, and you can connect accessories via Bluetooth.
The Ready For platform, available on the Moto G200, allows
for the seamless transfer of files between the phone and a Windows 10 PC when
connected. You can access all apps, and notifications, and make and receive
calls, and text from your PC when the phone is connected.
The phone can be connected both wirelessly or via USB, and
it is suggested that the latter is more reliable, especially if the WiFi
connection is poor.
Camera of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The Moto G200 is equipped with a triple-camera system that
includes a 108MP main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera
with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Moto G200's camera performance is decent, but it is not
exceptional. Photos taken during the day by the main 108MP camera have a good
amount of detail, but they appear slightly warmer than the actual scene. The
exposure and focus are accurate and fast.
The phone has Ultra Pixel technology, similar to the Edge
series, which combines nine pixels into one larger pixel, leading to better
low-light performance. This is also why the camera captures 12MP photos instead
of 108MP ones.
The 8MP ultra-wide camera does not perform well, with
pictures having low levels of detail even in daylight. The exposure is
accurate, but it tends to overexpose warm tones like yellows.
The Moto G200 also has a Macro mode, which can capture
decent photos, however, it often struggles with focusing correctly, thus it's
better to make sure the subject is in focus before capturing.
The Moto G200 lacks a periscope or a portrait/telephoto
camera. Light zoom is acceptable, but the image quality starts to degrade
significantly after 3x digital zoom.
The Moto G200's performance in low-light photography is also
not impressive. The main camera has difficulty capturing small or distant
objects, resulting in grainy and often blurry images. The colors also appear
washed out. However, the Night Vision mode can improve the results by
increasing saturation and enhancing highlights. Using Night Vision mode is
recommended to achieve usable results
The ultra-wide camera is not suitable for use during
nighttime, as the 8MP sensor struggles with both detail and focusing, as well
as exposure and color reproduction.
The Moto G200 is equipped with a 16MP selfie camera with an
f/2.2 aperture. It can take decent selfies, but they lack detail. The images
appear a bit soft, and the camera sometimes has trouble with exposure. The
Night Vision mode improves the results at night by increasing the detail, the
camera produces good results when the Night Vision mode is on.
The Moto G200's video capabilities are average. It can
record in 8K 24fps, but the resulting footage is very shaky, as the
stabilization appears to be minimal. The 4K 30fps video is a better option and
looks great in daylight, with plenty of detail, accurate exposure, and colors.
The 60fps 4K video is less stable and may not be suitable for capturing moving
objects, but it is good for static shots. However, it captures less detail than
the 30fps setting.
When recording in low-light conditions, the Moto G200
struggles with focus, resulting in blurry footage. The overall video quality is
not as good as daylight footage. If you plan on filming at night, it is
suggested to consider other options like an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy device.
Battery Performance of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The Moto G200 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, and with
the screen's refresh rate set to Auto, the phone can last for almost two days
on a single charge. If you choose the 60Hz refresh rate setting, the battery
life may be extended. The software and hardware are well-optimized, resulting
in minimal battery drain during the night.
The Moto G200's charging capabilities are not outstanding,
it supports 33W wired charging but does not have wireless charging support. The
battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in about an hour. Although there are
faster-charging phones available, the charging speed of the G200 is acceptable
for its price range.
On a positive note, the Moto G200 comes with a 33W charging
brick in the box, which is a nice inclusion. Additionally, the phone also comes
with a quality-made clear silicon case, which is a thoughtful gesture by
Motorola as many smartphones no longer include a charger in the box.

Games Capabilities of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The
Moto G200 5G is well-suited for Android games due to its technical
specifications. The device features a fast SoC (system on a chip) and a large,
fast 144-Hz display, which should provide a great gaming experience. However,
based on our testing with our partner GameBench, the actual gaming performance
of the device may not be as good as expected. The device may not be able to run
some high-end games at maximum settings or the performance may not be as smooth
as other devices in the same category.
The
Moto G200 5G can handle PUBG Mobile well, being able to play the game in HD
with 60 FPS at high details without any stuttering. However, when testing the
device with another game, Armajet, we noticed that the device had thermally
based crashes in performance.
Although
the game is theoretically able to support the full 144 FPS, the Moto G200 5G
can only reach up to 85 FPS. Additionally, the frame rate decreases during the
gaming session, settling at around 40 to 60 FPS, which is lower than expected
considering the device's technical specifications. This indicates that the
device may not be able to handle high-performance games as well as other
devices in the same category.
Verdict of Motorola Moto G200 5G
The
Motorola Moto G200 5G is a well-rounded upper mid-range smartphone that offers
a lot of performance. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888+ and runs on a slim
MyUX Surface model, which offers additional functionality like the Ready For.
When compared to other upper mid-range smartphones like the Xiaomi 11T and the
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, the Moto G200 5G stands out for its performance and
could be an interesting option for users looking for a powerful device.
The
Moto G200 5G is a solid everyday smartphone with fast performance thanks to its
144-Hz panel and UFS 3.1 storage.
However,
it does have a few setbacks when it comes to the Qualcomm SoC (system on a
chip), which appears to be caused by ineffective cooling. This results in frame
rate drops during longer high-frame-rate (HFR) gaming sessions, which might

Moto G200 5G is the current flagship of the Moto-G series, however, it has some
compromises on features compared to its competitors such as Xiaomi (Poco F3,
11T).
The device
has a plastic case which might not be as premium as some other smartphones in
the same price range. Some features that are considered premia such as OIS
(Optical Image Stabilization), stereo speakers, wireless charging, a high IP
rating, or enhanced haptics are not available in this device.
Additionally,
the IPS panel might be a disadvantage in this price range as it can be
significantly darker and has the familiar downsides of an LCD, such as less
vibrant colors.
Furthermore,
our measurements have revealed that the device might not be suitable for
PWM-sensitive users, which is another limitation for some users.
